Petrol and Diesel Prices Drop by Rs 2 Per Litre in India - But Bad News for Delhi
In India, Petrol and Diesel has been cut by Rs. 2 from 16th July 2015.
Petrol and diesel prices fall. It sounds good that the petrol and diesel price fall down. Everyone is happy.
But Delhi people are not happy - Bad news for Delhi
The common man of Delhi seems unhappy in spite of fall in prices. They are feeling unhappy due to the rise in VAT (Value Added Tax).
The state government on Wednesday decided to increase VAT on the petrol and diesel. Due to that effect petrol price in Delhi was increased by Rs 2.78 per litre while diesel by Rs 1.83 per litre.
