New Bench to Hear Yakub Mercy Plea

The Supreme Court judges give split vedict over Yakub Mercy Plea. A three-judge bench of Supreme Court is likely to decide the fate of Yakub Memon. The 3 Jugde bench begins hearing.
Previously, this case was handled by Justice A R Dave and Justice Kurian Joseph.
According to them Justice A R Dave dismissed Yakub's plea seeking stay of death warrant and told the Maharashtra governor to decide the mercy plea before 30th July, 2015.
But, Justice Kurian Joseph himself dug out a point which was not raised by Yakub in his petition and on that basis held that the apex court did not follow correct procedure in dismissing his curative petition.
But now a three-judge bench of Supreme Court is likely to decide the fate of Yakub Memon.
